A great breakthrough

2011-04-25 11:45:12
After last week's defeat of Śląsk by Korona Kielce, our coach, Mr. Orest Lenczyk, decided to put the pressure on defense in the encounter against Wisła Kraków, especially that they're the up-to-date no.1 in the Polish League. Therefore, even though our opponents continued to attack Śląsk's goalpost time after time, they couldn't get through and we managed to counterstrike. Therefore, the game occured to be a great breakthrough of our team who won over Wisła 2:0 when nobody really believed it.

One has to admit that Śląsk had some luck in this game, even though the statistics were against us. But there's a reason for the saying that the last drop of luck is always left for the winners. Wisła was highly motivated to defeat us. For them every point remains vital for their cruise to the championship. On the other hand, we wanted to make our fans believe in us again after the loss against Korona. And we still want to be in the game for the European Cups, of course. But only the goals of one team could've come true. Luckily, they were ours.

All in all, it was a great game to see live and enjoy the happiness and satisfaction of Śląsk's fans. Simply you have to join us next time, in the encounter against Polonia Bytom.

Hope you'll enjoy our game!
