Dealing with an unfortunate loss against Legia

2010-08-24 12:39:36
Tickets were already sold out 2 days before the game. Expectations were high as all the fans wanted to see a dynamic and fightfull match. And even though Śląsk lost 0:1, none of them went home dissapointed.

Both teams proved to be extremely determined to gain three points in this match. Śląsk was leading the game in the first half, attacking Legia's goal several times. Again, Waldemar Sobota was the most fightfull and smart player whom Legia's defenders could not deal with, and thus he was also the most fauled. However, luck was on our opponent's side and thus we didn't manage to score before the brake.

In the second half, it was Legia players that overtook the initiative on the pitch and finally, in 80' Maciej Rybus, a member of Polish national football team, dribbled the defense and kicked the ball from the fringers of the penalty area so precisely that Marian Kelemen had no chance to save the goal. Śląsk seemed a little crushed, especially that a few minutes earlier they didn't manage to finish two of their own striking situations.

To put it in a nut shell, Legia was the favourite of the encounter and they definitely filled that bill. However, Śląsk showed us play that has confirmed our potential to get them next time!
