First loss in the domestic competition

2011-08-29 10:43:50
On Sunday afternoon Śląsk's fans gathered in Oporowska stadium to watch their idols run over Widzew to reach first place in Ekastraklasa overall ranking. Unfortunately, this scenario was turned all the way round, and in the end it was Widzew who was leaving Wroclaw without a single loss on their account in the domestic competition.

From the beginning it was obvious that Widzew wouldn't be an easy opponent to Śląsk. They proved fightful and eager to win against the home team. Even though it was Śląsk who played the ball and attacked their goalpost time after time, Widzew occured more precise and effective.

In 33. minute Nike Dzialamidze took advantage of our defense's mistake and scored a beautiful goal in a one on one situation with our goalkeeper. Six minutes later, after a free kick, Marian Kelemen was once again defeated, this time by Jaroslaw Bieniuk.

In the second half Śląsk put all possible effort to make the score even. In 65. minute Sebastian Mila managed to score and open the game again, but too many mistakes made later on, enabled Widzew to walk out of the field with their heads high.

Our next match will take place on 9th October against Korona Kielce. Meet us there!
