Śląsk in the Europa League's 3rd Round

2013-07-29 17:29:39
Śląsk Wrocław drew 2-2 with Rudar Pljevlja in Montenegro last night, easing through the tie 6-2 on aggregate and setting up a glamour clash with Club Brugge of Belgium. Tickets for this match are already on sale and we have all the details for you below.

With Śląsk already 4-0 after the home leg, the team were merely left with the task of seeing the tie out. In the first half Lower Silesia's finest did more than that however, as Sobota and Paixao increased WKS' aggregate advantage to 6-0, giving the home side an impossible mountain to climb.

In the second half Śląsk understandably eased off a little, given they have another 2 big games in the next seven days. That allowed Rudar to come back with a couple of conciliation goals, with Jovanović and Bambur getting on the scoresheet.

Śląsk Wrocław's next three games are now at home; an Ekstraklasa clash against Jagiellonia Białystok on Sunday at 6pm, then the big Europa League qualifying tie against Club Brugge next Thursday at 20.45, and finalny Wisła Kraków on Sunday 4th Agust at 18:00.
