Śląsk rue missed chances

Yesterday's loss was a hard one to take given WKS' dominance in the opening hour, during which they hit two efforts against the woodwork. Śląsk enjoyed the bulk of possession in the match and also created more chances than their opponents, but crucially lost a grip of the game in the last fifteen minutes.

Zawisza took advantage when the pendulum swayed in their direction, with Kamil Drygas directing in a flick on from a well directed corner.

In his post match interview, WKS coach Tadeusz Pawłowski talked of what could have been had his side converted just a few of their many chances: "We certainly regret not making the most of our opportunities, because we could have gone back to Wrocław in a much better mood."

Śląsk Wrocław are next in action on Friday night, when they travel south east to take on Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała.
