Śląsk Wrocław is reaching the top

2011-05-17 13:28:08
Due to last Saturday's fantastic result, our team have positioned themselves on the 2nd place in Ekstraklasa overall ranking. Once again, it's a historical result that not only has a great importance for the domestic competition, but hopefully will also make our come back to the European Cups a fact.

The match began quite well for our team, as the referee gave us a penalty for Marcin Drzymont's touching the ball with his hand. Sebastian Mila executed the kick and managed to trick the goalkeeper. In the 11. minute it was already 1:0 for us.

Nevertheless, GieKSa didn't wave the white flag but decided to fight in the first half, and by the end it was laready 1:2 for the guests.

After the break, the situation has drastically changed again for Śląsk. They began to play much offensive football and finally managed to win 4:2. The important fact is that our head striker, Cristian Diaz, woke up first time after winter break and hit two goals in 51. and 90. This result will certainly occur crucial for his mentality and the team's heart to maintain such a high level of performance.
