Smashing 3:2 victory against the STRIPES

2010-08-16 12:06:22
A solid but goalless game against Jagiellonia Białystok was not an accident. Śląsk Wrocław had a good inauguration of the season and we're keeping the quality laverage in fast forward. The match against Cracovia Kraków was spectacular and filled with excitement and striking situations. The duet Sotirovic - Diaz rose to the challenge and scored three times in total.

It all started in 10' when Vuk Sotirovic scored in a beautiful style from 30 m distance straight into the goal's left corner. This spectacular situation was appreciated by fans and commentantors and thus announced the round's best goal. It was a beginning one could dream for, so the own goal by Jarosław Fojut three minutes later occured even more painful. Maybe it was the fault of Fri 13th, but Jarek happened to be the most unlucky player on the pitch as his intervention in 15' led to Cracovia's second goal.

Nevertheless, Śląsk managed to overcome misfortune due to Cristian Diaz's technical and offensive abilities. This player was extremely active from the beginning. One can tell that cooperation between him and other players is getting better every day as in 34', after Sobota's pass, he scored his first goal in Ekstraklasa, which was doubled in the second half after Piotr Celeban's intervention.

The result was not settled until the very end as Cracovia occured to be fightful and ambitious. Even too much if they had to finish in 10, without Piotr Polczak who left the pitch after having been punished with two yellow cards for agressive fauls.

Therefore, you simply have to join us this Friday at 8 pm in Oporowska Stadium to watch the match against one of the league's front runners - Legia Warszawa.

Hope you'll enjoy our game!
