We lost against the Polish Champion
Kolejorz started quite badly, leaving Śląsk a lot of space to lead the game and make many goal attempts. Unfortunately, their goalkeeper was always in the right place at the right time, as well as our strikers had their pointers a little twisted.
At the same time, Lech couldn't get through our defense. But in 24' they managed to score, performing a free kick by Sławomir Peszko, which was quite tricky and misled our goalkeeper, Marian Kelemen.
Śląsk didn't give up and continued pushing ahead towards the opponent's goal, still unsuccessfully. It was in 44', when Luis Henriquez touched the ball with a hand, and the referee gave us a penalty, which was performed by Cristian Diaz valiantly and straight into the net. Thus, we were waiting for the second half with great hopes and expectations.
Nevertheless, just after the match's restart, Artjons Rudnevs took advantage of Kelemen's mistake and placed the ball in our net from a close distance. In the second half, Lech played much better in general, and didn't let us make the score even again.
All in all, it was an enjoyable show of fight and deteremination, even though it could've ended more satisfying for us.
